reason # 5802 the BBC is a sorry excuse for a news network

April 30th, 2003 by Kyle

If you were to decribe Osama Bin Laden with one phrase, what would it be? Islamic fundamentalist?, terrorist?, militant muslim fanatic?, mass murderer? just plain evil?

Ha! not if your the BBC, in that case he is simply a “Saudi-born dissident.” Broken down that is: “a guy born in Saudi Arabia who disagrees”

not to shabby a reputation for a guy with the blood of 3000 people on his hands

but I just want to popular!

April 29th, 2003 by Kyle

ahhh, the eternal question. “Why do they hate us?” No, it’s not because we’re an evil imperialistic historically opressive people. It just becuase they think we are. thus the real question becomes “Why do they think this stuff” because they are fed lies like this, and this, a big pile of this, or maybe a bucket of this.

Now I hate life in addition to hating people

April 29th, 2003 by Kyle

New computer parts are bad and must be returned, old computer is still old, crappy, and not working. I’m “borrowing” a computer from the Aerospace Department for the next 2 weeks so that I can finish all the work that I have to get done by next Friday.

Life took a crap on my this weekend, not ready to talk to anybody about it yet, but rest assured, you will eventually be able to find out about it.

and now, I sleep.

*shudder*

April 23rd, 2003 by Kyle

Today I discovered what evil looks like and it came from the hand of an UDK writer. If ever there was a more morally corrupt idea, it is unknown to me.

I am at the mercy of no man’s needs. I owe you nothing

I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

un-Hello World

April 23rd, 2003 by Kyle

Sorry about the extreme lack of posts lately, my computer has been throughly defeated by the hands of father time. Last parts for the new one are in the mail, so until they get here, don’t expect much coming from my homefront.

Seriously dude, I mean WTF?

April 21st, 2003 by Kyle

Once again I am confronted with the most difficult decisions, what exactly to think about this guy’s plan to make the Bay Area it’s own country. On one hand, I utterly distest majority the people who live there and don’t really want to share a country with them. On the other hand, They are so messed up in the head that I almost feel sorry for them, and I think they need somebody to look after them to make sure they don’t get themselves killed.

I could seriously pick this article apart piece by piece, but that would take to much room, and it’s not worth the effort. I will however pick out random stuff and make fun of it though:

Favorite absurd phrase: “destructive tax cuts”

Their new laws? “bans on guns altogether, full legalization of same-sex unions, an expansion of public television and radio, complete decriminalization of marijuana, basic health care for all, environmental protections that would be the envy of North America.

Their impending results? criminals kill everyone, the gov’t spreads it’s propoganda to the masses and then makes them pay for it, mass exodus of doctors, non-existent economy, gov’t loses control because they don’t have money because the people don’t have money because the gov’t keeps the people from having money.

This guy even hates on Abe Lincoln, and praises the South. Whose discendents (i.e. a huge chunk of the ‘publican party) basically think like there forefathers and yet are the “enemy” of all that is “The Bay Area”.

Eureka I’ve got it!
We make this happen, but populate the town with thousands of hidden cameras, seal all the borders for one year, and turn the entire area into the biggest/best reality TV ever! Who wouldn’t pay to watch this stuff? I swear, the show would peg the unintenional comedy meter for the rest of time. We could even give the show it’s own channel 24/7, like The Truman show, only with 5 million more people. Somebody get me an appointment with the network execs, I’ve got a show to pitch!

Bill Self, Bill Self, Bill Self, Yea!!!

April 20th, 2003 by Kyle

Bill Self is finally coming to town. I hope he wins the National Championship and shoves that trophy up you-know-who’s you-know-what. Life can now continue semi-normally, with somebody manning the helm of KU Basketball.

2wice your weekly dose of random crap

April 19th, 2003 by Kyle

I love Burt Rutan, and all that he represents. For those of you who don’t know, Burt also built and design Voyager, the only airplane to circumvent the world with out refueling. I would make a comment of the merits of private industry right now, but that’d just label me a NASA hater.

I’ve read a lot lately about the “lack of follow through” concerning the U.S. foreign policy. I’ve read a couple of pieces about it in the N.Y. Times and quite a few AP articles also. The basic jest of all these articles have been: The U.S. goes into a country, kicks their butt, loses interest, and then looks around for somebody else to beat up on. The entire purpose seems to be to point out that we are going into these escapades recklessly and don’t think them through. I don’t buy it. I think as a whole, this country has put an incredible amount of thought into what comes after the butt kicking. And each time we face the decision we come up with the same conclusion. Let the people rule themselves. We give them initial direction, restore order in the beginning, and then let the people do their own thing. This may seem like a foreign idea to the left-wing editorial writers, but then again, so does the U.S. constitution (except of course for the 2nd amendment, they wave that flag @ super sonic speed). I may be a dirty imperialist, but I don’t think the idea of having a bunch of countries modeled after the U.S. is a bad thing.
