Scaled Composites (TOG's official ideal future employer) just got clearance from the FAA to go sub-orbital, in SpaceShip One. I'm guessing that they will make their try for the X-Prize around late-summer.
If Burt Rutan were a lady, and about 30 years younger, I would jump his bones right now.

Posted by: Nick Mucci at April 8, 2004 12:15 AMI'm not sure of the pronoun use in this case, because the subject changes gender mid-sentence. There probably is an actual rule about transexual subject pronouns somewhere, but I don't care, so I went with it.
Posted by: Kyle at April 8, 2004 08:58 AMI remember reading somewhere about creating a gender-neutral pronoun for people, so that you wouldn't have to use he/she or s/he, or whatever. The term to be used was "hu" (derived from "human"), so you would say "I would so jump hus bones". I thought it was a cool concept, even if saying it out loud seems kinda weird.
